This class is meant to offer students a higher level of theatre understanding. While many new units will be introduced, some topics may be looked at more deeply. These students are expected to participate in all after school theatre productions or events. Some units covered in this course include: Moving on Stage Practicing Audience Etiquette Identifying the Anatomy of a Play Utilizing Modern Acting Techniques Talking like an Actor Finding the Plot of a Play Auditioning Well Acting with Others Monologue Performance Playwriting Dance for the Actor Stage Combat Using the Voice Faking Improvisation Being a Critic Producing a Play Technical Theatre Design and Application

This class is meant to offer students a taste of everything that goes into acting and performance. Some units covered in this course include: Moving on Stage Practicing Audience Etiquette Identifying the Anatomy of a Play Performing Pantomime Puppetry & Theatre History Talking like an Actor Finding the Plot of a Play Acting with Others Monologue Performance Playwriting Dance for the Actor Using the Voice Faking Improvisation Being a Critic Producing a Play There are no after school requirements for this class but fall and spring productions are available to all students of 7th/8th Grade Drama.
